1. What data we collect
When you sign up for Groomcar service, we collect: your full name, mobile number (WhatsApp), email (optional), residential address (area, tower / society, flat, parking slot), vehicle details (make, model, registration number, colour), preferred cleaning slot, start date, and how you heard about us.
When you apply for a job at Groomcar, we collect: your full name, mobile, location, age, gender (optional), role applied for, years of experience, languages spoken, and optional reference details. Your selected language preference is stored.
We use Cloudflare Web Analytics (privacy-friendly, cookie-less) and Google Analytics 4 to understand site usage. We do not sell your data.
2. How we use your data
To provide and improve the Groomcar service, contact you about your booking, send WhatsApp / email updates about your car cleaning, process applications, and meet legal obligations. Job applicant data is used for hiring evaluation only.
3. Sharing
We share data only with: our trained cleaners and supervisors (so they can serve you), our email provider (MailerLite, for transactional emails), Cloudflare (for hosting and security), and law enforcement if legally required. We never sell your data.
4. Your rights (under DPDP 2023)
You can request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing privacy@thegroomcar.com. We respond within 7 days. You can withdraw consent at any time, which will stop further processing.
5. Data retention
Customer data: retained while you are an active customer + 36 months after cancellation, for tax and audit purposes. Job applicant data (rejected): 90 days from application, then deleted.
6. Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. We host with Cloudflare and apply industry-standard security practices.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies (e.g., to remember your language toggle on the careers form). No advertising cookies, no third-party tracking cookies.
8. Children
Our service is for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
